Hi, I'm Lisa

I'm thrilled that you are here - because I have to believe we are a lot alike - you and me. We are both trying to live a happier and healthier life, when gluten is poison to our bodies.

Which means you have finally come to terms with your health issues and you know this is something you can no longer put off. Most likely your health has become a real issue and you are experiencing some of the complications and pains that come from having celiac disease and/or being gluten sensitive. Unfortunately, the time it takes to realize this or finally get diagnosed has most likely wrecked havoc on your health, your body, your mind, your spirit, your family and has taken over your life - I certainly have been there.

My health was honestly a disaster a few years ago and I had no where to turn.

My doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me (I had been misdiagnosed with everything from IBS to Crohn's Disease to Chronic Fatigue to Rheumatoid Arthritis, to a non-functioning Thyroid and I could go on and on), I was sick all the time, had zero energy, monster migraines, major cramping every time I ate anything, I was tied to the bathroom and I swear even my hair hurt back then.

Some days my greatest accomplishment was showering and washing my hair. I'm pretty sure you can relate or you wouldn't still be reading.

I had no idea what to do, what to eat, alls I knew that if I didn't figure this out soon, I might not be around much longer. I actually felt like my body was shutting down and something was really wrong, not a little wrong, really wrong.

No one sleeps 12 hours a day and wakes up more exhausted than when I went to bed. No one should get sick when drinking water. No one should be afraid to eat. And, no one should be so terrified to go out of my house for fear I might not find a bathroom in time. That was my life back then and luckily I found my way out of that hell... For me,  it all changed when I realized gluten was poison to my body.

My doctors thought I was crazy and no one was talking about how going gluten-free could really help your health; but, I knew deep down in my soul that this was MY ISSUE. So what do I do when everyone thinks I'm crazy and I have no clue what any of this means? I dig in and start fighting because I knew I couldn't live like this much longer. I went back to school to try and find some answers for myself since no one around me had a clue how to make anything even slightly better. I honestly don't know how I made it through nutrition school, but I enrolled at the Institute for Integrated Nutrition and that truly was the beginning of my obsession to find my way back to health and start living again. Never in a million years did I expect to use my Health Coaching Degree for anything other than surviving; but, life and the universe had other plans for me. :)

In the last few years of my education, I have learned from the top nutrition, wellness and doctors who are experts in their fields such as Joshua Rosenthal, Dr. Bernie Siegel, Dr. David Katz, Dr. Barry Sears, Dr. Walter Willet, Dr. Josh Axe, Dr. Lissa Rankin, Dr. William Davis, Dr. Tom O'Bryan, Dr. Alessio Fasano, Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. Aristo Vjodani, Dr. David Perlmutter, Dr. Mark Hyman,  Dr. Andrew Weil, David Wolfe, Deepak Chopra, Geneen Roth and Brene' Brown and many, many more.

Because gluten became my passion, I also went on to become a Certified Gluten Practitioner (through Dr. Tom O'Bryan's CGP Program where I learned the foundation of Gluten Related and Autoimmune Disorders, how to properly test and assess for them and most importantly, how to support my clients). Dr. Tom O'Bryan is on the teaching facility for the Institute of Functional Medicine and who is a nationally recognized speaker, expert and workshop leader specializing in the complications of celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity.

However, it wasn't until someone close to me became ill, that I realized that I could help them too and put all that I have learned over the years to better use, beyond just me and my health. Not really sure how or what that would look like I began a blog and a health coaching business that has truly blossomed from there.

I wrote the book Gluten Free Guide to a Healthy-Do-Over in hopes of reaching more people and helping them connect the dots and understand that their health is within their control. What we put in our mouths every day will definitely show up in our health and in our bodies. But, I came to realize that there simply aren't enough hours in the day for me to help all the people I wish I could.

My happy ending (and yours too!)

So that is why I am creating a few new programs that will meet people where they are and help them redo their current health challenges. I'll admit my health and my body are not perfect by any means and I will always be a work in progress. Every single day I work on my health, my beliefs, my priorities, my goals, my body and creating a better tomorrow that's why I am so incredibly grateful that you have found me and I look forward to helping you as much as you will let me. I specialize in helping people who have autoimmune conditions learn to transition there health, their bodies, their energy, their minds, their weight, and their life.

I'd like to thank you a hundred times over for stopping by. YOU are why I do what I do. YOU are what fuels my passion. YOU are what my life has become about, helping people create short-cuts and find the secrets to a healthier, happier life when gluten is poison to your body. No one should have to go through what I had to, to rebuild my health.

I realize that I am a bit of a trailblazer because I very much think outside the box from most people, so that is why it is truly important for us to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. I am all about getting to the ROOT cause of something and that NEVER comes quickly. There are no QUICK FIXES, no PILLS, no SHORT CUTS to your health.

My philosophy

If this sounds like you,  if you feel we are kindred spirits and you are looking for a holistic, healthy, organic way to improve your health, than you are absolutely in the right place and I look forward to working with you.

If you feel like you are not quite ready or that all of this is really new to you, than please feel free to look around and get to know me better... don't be surprised if you find yourself thinking differently and open to a few "unconventional" ideas cause that is absolutely what I am all about, taking back your health and beginning to ask questions you never knew you should. YOUR HEALTH, YOUR RULES!

Much Love on Your Healthy-Do-Over,
